Dismaying Powers and Authorities

Colossians 2:15 reads, "And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."

As I read over this verse I am awestruck at the power of our God. I think we forget the magnitude of his power. He disarmed authorities... He beared the cross so we would achieve ultimate victory. We are not worthy but he calls us His.

Jesus entered the world quietly and humble, yet he set us free from captivity and sin. He smashed the gates of hell! ALL is conquered through Christ because he loved us so. Christ destroyed all enemies, the last one being death, so that we may have eternal life.

We can be confident in His promise. A new heaven and a new earth is coming!

The new heaven and the new earth is the collision of the seen and unseen world. In the beginning these were 1 in Christ, but a delicate tear appears in the fabric of eternity at man's fall. This was the division between God and man. Christ came to bridge that gap, known as the Great Collision. Once again the seen and unseen world became one. Now, as we wait for the second coming we constantly battle with the division. We view the seen world as our reality when in actuality the unseen world is what our hearts long for.

Did you know God's original plan was interrupted?

Just as all of us have faced disappointed and a change in plans.... so has Christ. He knows first hand our hurt because he faced a change in plans at his first coming.

Romans 8:22-23 tells us, "For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. And we believers also groan, even though we have the holy spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering."

We can rest in the assurance that he knows our hearts and what we are feeling. Do not be discouraged for Christ came to save and continues to do it day by day. You are loved.

My heart continues to explode for these children. They are so hungry for love. I am blessed to tell them Yesu Anakupenda and Ni Anakupenda everyday!

Reach for eternal glory because you are worth the fight!

Love, Hannah
