Day 9

"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." -Romans 12:21

In all circumstances in our life the devil tries to pull us away from what is pleasing to the Lord. It is our job to be aware of his deceitful ways and approach them with patience and trust. God is so much bigger then the devil and can take him without lifting a finger. We have to remember that evil thoughts are not from God and praying and trusting that he will take care of us requires faith. I lack faith a lot of the time and that is something I am really working on. We need to be able to say "God has this" instead of trying to deal with it alone.

Thank you Jesus for always being there when we need you. Thank you for your unfailing love and your patience with us. Protect our hearts and minds as we walk through this day with you. You are so much bigger then any unrighteous thought that goes through our mind! We love you!
