Expectant

ex·pect·ant/ikˈspektənt/

adjective
  1. having or showing an excited feeling that something is about to happen, especially something pleasant and interesting.

Each new season brings about different struggles. Struggles that drive fear and doubt into the forefront of our minds. After all, we must remember that our struggle is not between flesh and blood but spiritual in nature.

The lord longs for us desire more out of this life. For us to look at our worldly lives and say "its not enough", "its not fulfilling", "this is not it". He longs for our hearts to embrace the uncomfortable in anticipation that what he has in store is GOOD. He longs for us to say "YES, Lord! You are it. Not matter what this world brings, you are it!"

To be expectant means to embrace what is to come. To be excited about this life and to know that he will finish what he started. To be expectant means to embrace the blessings and expect that good things are in store.

We are called to be expectant.

Expect the Lord to come through. Expect that his plans will succeed. Expect that he will never leave or forsake you. Expect that a perfect God continually defeats the grave for us.

God cannot stop covering you with grace. It is not in his nature. He cannot and will not stop loving you... even amongst your sin. So today be encouraged! You are loved regardless.

You are destined to be expectant of good things, by a GOD who is nothing less then perfect.
