Habari
Good evening from Kenya!! After over 36 hours of traveling I
finally made it to Migori. Upon arriving we were greeted by 99 beautiful
children of our Father. They were loud, full of joy, and altogether beautiful.
This is my heart, in every facit of the word. Kenya exemplifies Jesus in his
truest form. No facades, no cover-ups, Jesus in all his messy glory… and I love
that.
An update on the Coghlan family: they are wonderfully
seeking Jesus in every way. They love deeply, serve obediently, and are the
parents to 99 amazing kids. Jesus is the light of this place and they are the
vessels. It is amazing.
Today while driving 8 hours through the poverty striken community
I was reminded of a precious truth. Christ is moving in this country but let me
tell you he works the same way in the United States. He is always moving,
really. Always working, and always constructing our lives for His glory alone.
I guess that is the matter of fact, no strings attached truth to this whole
Christianity thing. God has never been absent, His children have just been
blind to what he is doing. So today I am praying for eyes to be trained to seek
truth. For eyes that love deeply despite outward circumstances, and for a more
obedient mindset.
Thank you Jesus for being my sheapard. For leaving the rest
of your flock to chase after a rebellious heart. Thank you for pursuing me
despite my downfalls, and for picking me up over and over again.
Also, quick update…. Wifi out here is really unpredictable.
I will post blog posts when I get the chance, but will be blogging everyday.
That being said, if you see I haven’t written in a couple days be on the
lookout for several posts all at once!
All my love,
Hannah
