Boldly accepting

"God is within her, she will not fail!" 

- Psalm 46:5

When I accepted Christ at 8 years old, God was within me. When I asked to join Cove United Methodist Church at 15, God was within me. When I went to Africa for medical missions, God was within me. During all of these pivotal times of my life, God was within me. 

What we fail to acknowledge is that the God of the universe reigns in our hearts from the time we wake up in the morning to the time we lay our heads down at night. The God of the universe is within us even when we feel distant from the cross. What society fails to realize in todays world is that when we choose to be in Christ, we cannot fail. There is no condemnation in death and no sorrow in mistakes. There is no more brokenness and only temporary pain because the God of the universe reigns. 

What a bold statement.... "when God is within her, she will not fail!"

So I am here to tell you to be encouraged by that verse and to run with it. Run as fast as you can to the foot of the cross and collapse in thankfulness. Thankfulness that we are made whole in christ and that with him reigning in us there are no mistakes, but only speed bumps on the great adventure christ has layed out for us. 

So today I rejoice in the promise christ has made and am choosing to live in the freedom he has graciously showered over us.
